Conclude your day with an overnight stay at the luxurious 5-star Movenpick Elephantine Island Resort or a similar hotel, ensuring a restful night in this enchanting riverside setting.

  • Begin your day with a pick-up from your hotel to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. Built during the Ptolemaic period on the site of an older temple, Kom Ombo is situated at one of the most picturesque locations, on a bend in the river. This unique temple is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed god. After exploring the temple, you'll visit the new Crocodile Museum, which houses numerous mummified crocodiles, highlighting the creature's significance in ancient times. Next, travel to the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved shrines in Egypt. Constructed during the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 237 and 57 BC, the temple’s inscriptions provide crucial insights into the language, myths, and religion of the Hellenistic period in Egypt. Notably, the inscribed building texts detail the temple's construction and offer a mythical interpretation of the site as the Island of Creation. Afterward, continue drive to Luxor. Check in and enjoy a restful overnight stay at the 5-star Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious end to your day.

  • Begin your day by crossing the Nile by boat to visit the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of ancient pharaohs. Delve into the history and splendor of the tombs, including the intricately decorated burial chambers of these legendary rulers. Continue your exploration at the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut, the queen who became Pharaoh. This awe-inspiring temple at Deir el-Bahari, on Luxor’s west bank, features three man-made terraces that rise majestically toward the sheer cliff face. The site was sacred to Hathor, the goddess who nurtured and reared every king, including their mythological ancestor, the god Horus. In the afternoon, visit the Tomb of the Nobles, where the beautifully adorned tombs of ancient Egyptian officials provide a glimpse into their lives and beliefs. Next, head to the Valley of the Workers (Deir el-Medina), home to the artisans and laborers who built the royal tombs, and the Valley of the Queens, where the wives of the pharaohs were laid to rest. The selection of the Valley of the Kings as a royal burial ground was significant. Thus, ancient Egyptian cemeteries were generally situated on the west bank of the Nile. Conclude your tour with a visit to the Tombs of the Nobles before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon, enriched with the history and grandeur of ancient Egypt. Overnight stay at the 5-star Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious end to your day.

  • Wake up early to witness the sunrise at Luxor Temple, a site steeped in history and significance. This temple may have been the coronation site for many pharaohs of Egypt, including the legendary Alexander the Great, who claimed he was crowned here despite possibly never traveling south of Memphis near modern Cairo. Exploring this vast site in the early morning allows you to experience its grandeur before the crowds arrive. Spend the morning at your leisure, perhaps enjoying the amenities of your hotel or taking a relaxing stroll through the city. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Karnak Temple, the most important temple in Thebes (modern Luxor).
