What to Expect on This Journey:
This journey through Oman will immerse you in a breathtaking tapestry of ancient traditions, dramatic landscapes, and vibrant markets. You’ll experience both the modern and timeless aspects of the country—from the elegant capital city of Muscat to the remote villages of Jabal Akhdar, the vast Wahiba Sands desert, and the coastal town of Sur. Travel between locations will be by comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles. While road conditions are generally good, drives between sites may be long, with occasional uneven or winding terrain, especially in the mountainous regions.
Daily sightseeing often includes 2 to 3 miles of walking through city centers, forts, souqs, wadis (valleys), and historic villages. Surfaces may include sand, gravel paths, stone steps, and uneven ground. Visits to wadis and desert areas may involve walking on rocky or sandy surfaces. We recommend comfortable walking shoes with good grip, sun protection, and layered clothing to adjust to changes in temperature between coastal, desert, and mountain climates.
Oman's climate is typically warm and dry, but temperatures can vary significantly, especially between the cool heights of Jabal Akhdar and the hotter desert areas. Some days will involve early departures or longer driving durations, such as the journey from Muscat to Wahiba Sands and on to Jabal Akhdar. The tour features expert-guided sightseeing, cultural lectures, and opportunities for authentic local interactions, balanced with free time for rest and exploration.
Participants should be in good physical health, prepared for varying walking conditions, and open to flexible scheduling. While we strive to keep the itinerary seamless, minor adjustments may occur due to weather, road conditions, or operational factors. In rare cases of Force Majeure, itinerary changes may be necessary to ensure your comfort and safety. By joining this tour, you confirm that you have read and understood all terms and conditions and are ready to experience Oman’s extraordinary landscapes, rich heritage, and legendary hospitality.
